1981: Daytona International Speedway in Florida gets on its way to host the 19th Annual Pepsi Challenge Daytona 24 hours in 1981. The 24-hour sports car endurance race is held annually at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida and served as the opening round of the IMSA GT Championship. The organisers received 98 entries. After 24 hours of racing time, the two Americans Bob Garretson and Bobby Rahel, as well as the Brian Redman, were waved off as winners.
